10. bis 18.08 2006 Budapest
Haini zeigt uns die stadt. Wir klettern auf Dächern rum und in Häuserruinen
und erfahren viel über die Immobilienplitik in Budapest. Der Teil
ihrer Aktivistengruppe, den wir kennenlernen besteht aus einem Soziologen
und Andor, einem Animationskünstler der in einem Haus auf dem Berg
wohnt und abgefahrene Animationen produziert.
Haini shows us the city. We climb around on roofs and in house ruins and
learn a lot about real estate policy in Budapest. The part of her activist
group that we get to know consists of a sociologist and Andor the animation
artist who lives in a house out in the mountains and produces very spacy
animations and computer programs.
Wir versuchen auf die Essenz Budapests zu stossen, was gar nicht so einfach
ist im August wo die Strassen leer sind und die Leute keine Lust auf gar
nix haben. Die Strassenbahnen fahren halt und die meisten Leute befinden
sich auf dem Sziget Festival.
Was allerdings sehr ins Auge sticht sind sehr viele melancholische Menschen
auf der Strasse. Alkoholiker und unfröhliche Gesichter beherrschen
das Bild, als ob schlechte Laune sexy und angesagt sei in der Stadt. Wir
machen zwei Filme über Alptraum und schreiende Nachbarn.
We try to find the essence of Budapest which is not so easy in the month
of august where the streets are empty and the people don't show any envy
to do anything. The trams are running and most people are on sziget festival.
One thing catches the eye, though: A lot of melancholic people can be
found on the streets, alcolholics and unhappy faces paint the picture,
as if a bad mood would be sexy or hip in town. We make to films about
nightmares and yelling neighbours.
Donnerstag abend haben wir unsere Präsentation im Innenhof von Dinamo.
Das ist ein Raum für junge Kunst, der zum Kulturzentrum Trafo gehört
und Projekten wie unserem einen Raum zur Präsentation bereitstellt.
Wir halten eine schöne Präsentation mit VWBus, Fernsehstudio
und Projektion ab.
Thursday evening we have a presentation in the courtyard of Dinamo, which
is an art space linked to Trafo cultural centers supporting projects like
ours. We hold a nice presentation with VW van, TV studio and Projection.
